This year, despite the predictable bank-holiday weather we held one of our most successful stalls. As the rain held off in the morning our husbands erected the beautiful white marquee under which our goods and our good-selves could stay dry! Our members donated plenty of bric-a-brac, books and hand-made/home-made items to sell. We had every intention of selling as much as we could so made everything very reasonably priced. We also had a quiz which was 'Guess the Length of the Snake'. The children loved it but the mums and dads were less enthusiastic about wanting to have a feel of the shed skin. As the day ended and we packed up in the now pouring rain we felt that the local village population had done us proud and had turned up in their numbers to participate. As stall-holders we had a really fun day and loved meeting and chatting to our friends and neighbours. We are looking forward to next year.
